My short story, The Room of a Young Man in the July-August issue of Reading Hour.

In two days Sucharita knew that memsahib liked to peep inside the room very often. And when Amla was busy in the kitchen Sucharita did the same. At times she poked the door with the long handle of her broom. The gap widened; a bit at first, and then a bit more. As the door opened she saw: mild darkness, some morning light plastered to the curtains and a sleeping figure. A shapely bronze back displayed itself. A blue-sheet was entwined like a thick rope between long legs.  Sucharita often sat outside the door with her cup of tea and biscuit and wondered if he ever got up from sleep.
